An extremely popular and proven means of restoring equilibrium and harmony to body, mind and spirit - Reiki can aid in the physical healing process, release negative mental patterns and associations and promote emotional stability. Reiki was developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th Century. Reiki is a Japanese word meaning ‘Universal Energy’. It is activated by intention and works on all levels not just the physical.
Its gentle, non-invasive hands-on healing can be applied to men, women and children with amazing results - and its holistic approach to total wellness has sparked a revolution in western theory and practice of the Healing Arts.
Reiki is experienced with the client fully clothed either laid on a massage couch or sat comfortably in a chair. The client usually finds the whole experience deeply relaxing and may even drift off to sleep! Reiki energy may be felt as a warm feeling or as a cold flow of energy. Some people feel tingling sensations and others feel a strong flow of energy. As we are all different, we all experience Reiki in different ways.

Reiki is useful as a general maintenance to keep your energy levels up and to keep stress away. It is excellent pre/post operation and post injury or illness to aid recovery.
Investment: £35 per treatment – 1 hour
A series of treatments are usually recommended for the best results. The number depends on the clients requirements and this will be discussed at the end of your first treatment. Reiki treatments are available with me, Louise Woods in Cardiff and Exeter or Tavistock, Devon.
